This feature, when initiated at the start of a transaction, will audibly convey instructions to assist your customers in navigating through the payment process, enhancing accessibility and independence for people with visual impairments.
This feature is currently only available to iOS users on the SumUp app when paired via Bluetooth to a Solo card reader.
Follow the standard process for accepting a card payment on the SumUp app. Enter an amount or item from your catalogue, tap "Charge", and then "Card Reader".
Tap the visual impairment icon at the bottom of the payment screen on the SumUp app to activate the voice accessibility feature.
The SumUp app will audibly relay instructions from your mobile or tablet device for your customer to follow and complete the payment on the Solo reader.
