How can I top up my Business Account balance?

To add money to your Business Account, you can transfer money to yourself from other GBP accounts using your account number and sort code or make a cash deposit.

Transfer money to my Business Account

You can send funds to yourself using your SumUp Business Account details, which can be found on the SumUp app or from the dashboard.

  1. On your SumUp profile, select the "Business Account" tab on the left of the page.

  2. Click "Account".

  3. From here you can check and copy your Business Account's details.

Top up using payouts

  1. On your SumUp profile, click the profile symbol in the top right corner.

  2. Click "Bank & payout settings" then select "SumUp Business Account" for next day payouts to your Business Account.

  3. You'll now be invited to verify these changes. Depending on the security settings enabled on your profile, you will either be asked to:

    • Enter the verification code sent via SMS to your registered phone number and click "Verify bank account" to continue, or

    • Open the SumUp app from your trusted device and confirm using your confirmation PIN or biometric authentication

  4. Check the pop-up message and click "Continue" to confirm the change.

You can also change your payout settings in the Business Account section by clicking "Account" then clicking the button in the "Sales payouts" box.

Deposit cash into my Business Account

If available to you in the SumUp app, you can deposit cash into your Business Account and get funds credited to your balance within 10 minutes.
