Set up your iPad and download the app
To use the iPad you’ll first need to charge it and sign in with your Apple ID. If you don’t have one, you’ll need to create an Apple ID.
You can then download the POS Pro app and download the SumUp app to get started.
Check your iPad’s version and update it if it’s not running at least iOS 14.1. Android devices aren’t compatible with the POS Pro app.
Set up your POS hardware
Set up a LAN connection to connect your POS system. Some devices may be connected via Bluetooth, however LAN connections allow you to reliably connect more devices.
Enable card payments via POS Pro by connecting a SumUp card reader.
Connect printers to POS Pro and then assign them different roles, such as printing receipts or meal orders for the kitchen.
Get ready for cash payments by connecting a cash drawer so you’ve somewhere to store and organise cash.
Complete your POS setup by also connecting additional hardware such as a barcode scanner, a price display and a buzzer for announcing new orders.
Alternatively, expand your setup by configuring additional iPads.
