What types of loyalty rewards programs can I create?

With SumUp Loyalty, either during its initial setup or anytime, you can create rewards based on the program you initially selected:

  • Points-based: Customers earn points based on how much they spend at your business.

  • Stamp cards: Customers receive one stamp per purchase, regardless the amount they spent.

Once your customers collect a certain number of points or stamps, they can redeem them for rewards. You decide what the rewards are and how many points or stamps are needed to unlock them.

Can I switch the type of rewards scheme I offer?

Once you select one loyalty program, it is not possible to switch to the other one or offer rewards of the alternative type.

How can I create new rewards after the initial setup?

  1. From the dashboard or SumUp app, go to "Loyalty". 

  2. Click "Create reward". 

  3. Enter your "Reward" and the "Point cost". 

  4. Tap "Save reward". 

You can create an unlimited number of points-based rewards.
