Manage your profile security options

To keep your profile secure, enable 2-step authentication to receive verification codes via email or SMS to confirm your identity and prevent unauthorised access.

These security codes are strictly personal and should never be shared with anyone. This includes us at SumUp, who will never request them from you.

  1. Log in to your SumUp profile using a web browser and select the profile symbol in the top right corner.

  2. Select "Login and security".

  3. Click "Add security" in the 2-step authentication section.

Once active, we’ll send you a confirmation code to verify it’s you whenever you sign in.

Enabling these settings doesn’t impact employee profiles, you only have to confirm login for your main profile.

Didn't receive your confirmation code?

Click on "Or confirm using a different method" to choose another confirmation method.

Log in with a passkey

  2. Select "Login and security".

  3. In the "Passkeys" section:

    • Click "Setup" if your adding your first passkey

    • Click "Manage" if you want to set up additional passkeys

  4. Click the "Add a passkey" button.

  5. The device will then ask you for your face, fingerprint or PIN.

  6. Once it's done, name your passkey and hit "Add a passkey".

Once added, you'll be able to log in with a passkey.
