How do custom discounts work?

  1. When taking an order on the app or POS Lite, click the price tag icon in the top corner.

  2. Tap the “Type” dropdown to choose: 

    1. Percentage - in the “Discount” field, enter the percentage you want to apply as a discount

    2. Fixed amount - in the “Discount” field, enter a fixed amount to be discounted

  3. Optionally, you can enter a description of the discount as a reminder for later.

The discount will be automatically applied to all items in the shopping cart. You can edit or remove the discount by tapping the price tag symbol again and making the relevant changes.

Zero-priced/100% discount sales

Zero-priced transactions are also supported- Therefore, you can process sales without requiring payment, while still generating receipts and keeping a full transaction record. 

To process a zero-priced sales, when following the steps above you should select “Percent” as the discount type and enter “100” in the “Discount” field to bring the total amount of £0.
