What are the benefits of the till management tool?

The till management is a POS Plus feature, available in the SumUp app for tablets (both Android and iOS) and POS Lite, that allows you to:

  • Review sales and payments with a simple, operator-focused process

  • Manage cash

  • Reconcile not only cash payments, but also transactions processed with other payment methods

  • Generate a Z-report that can be accessed and (re)printed as needed, based on the reconciliation process

  • Identify discrepancies at closing and review past tills to spot issues early

As a free SumUp POS user, can I benefit from the till management tool?

The till management tool is available exclusively to POS Plus users. When you sign up for this plan, you unlock a range of additional features and enhanced POS capabilities.

What is the difference between till and cash management?

Cash management enables you to record the amount of cash currently available in the till based on all cash inflows and outflows. Till management, on the other hand, lets you track and record all payments processed (cash and other payment methods), making it a broader tool that complements cash management.

As a result, if you use cash management, you will automatically start using till management as part of the same workflow, gaining additional capabilities to monitor tills, shifts, and related reports.
