What you need to use this feature

Before you can create an invoice from a payment, make sure you meet these requirements:

  • The sale you want to create an invoice from contains at least one item

  • No invoice already exists for that particular sale

Create an invoice from a sale

  1. Log in to your SumUp profile.

  2. Click on "Home" and select "Sales".

  3. Select the sale you want to use to create the invoice.

  4. Click on "Receipt".

  5. Choose "Create invoice".

  6. You can select an existing customer or add a new one.

  7. By clicking the settings icon at the top of the screen you can customise the price format, currency, and language as needed.

  8. Click "Complete" when you're finished.

On the next page, you’ll have the possibility to download, print or send the invoice.

Access your post-sale invoice

Your invoice will be automatically saved in the "Invoices" section of your dashboard or app, where you can access it anytime.
