Requirements to connect a barcode scanner to your POS

To connect and use a barcode scanner with your POS daily, you must be a POS Plus user. 

Additionally, you need either the SumUp Barcode Scanner or another compatible barcode scanner.

Compatible barcode scanners

Supported barcode scanners can only be connected to the SumUp app using tablets or a POS Lite register.

  • SumUp Barcode Scanner

  • Socket Mobile SocketScan S700 series (including the S700, S720, S730 and S740)

  • Sunmi USB scanner

  • Metapace USB scanner

Any HID barcode scanner may be compatible, but have not been specifically tested. You may need an adaptor to connect USB barcode scanners.
