What are the benefits of the employee PIN login feature?
With this feature you are able to create unique PIN codes for each employee, allowing them to:
Quickly switch between user profiles on a POS device
Streamline transactions
Ensure accurate tracking of sales and employee performance.
The employee PIN login is a feature exclusively available to POS Plus users. After upgrading your SumUp POS to this plan, you will be able to assign employee PIN codes to each team member, as well as unlock additional enhanced capabilities.
How do the employee PINs work?
From your POS Lite or tablet, click the profile icon at the bottom left of the screen.
Scroll down to the “Your team” section and click "PIN login”.
Enable the toggle to allow employees to connect with their PINs.
Set the 4-digit main PIN that you will use to log in and manage other employees' PINs, and tap “Confirm”.
Then, from the "Team management page", tap the user you want to manage and then "PIN".
Enable the "Use PIN access" toggle in the left-hand side of the screen and a PIN will be automatically created for the profile.
From your POS Lite or tablet, click the profile icon at the bottom left of the screen.
Then, tap “Switch" next to the team member's name.
The screen is now locked, and you can enter your PIN code.
Once you are logged in, your access will be based on your assigned permissions.
With the employee PIN code, transactions are always correctly attributed to the employee for more accurate tracking, without needing to log out and log back in again, allowing the administration of team members to be efficient.

Once the team PIN feature is enabled, it will be activated on your POS Lite Register, Android tablets, or iPads. Therefore, if you have multiple devices, the PIN settings will automatically sync across all of them..
