What can I do with SumUp Bookings?

From your SumUp Bookings page, you can access a variety of features designed to help you manage your schedule with ease, including:

  • Accepting appointment requests manually or automatically

  • Cancelling appointments or marking them as no-shows

  • Adding time blocks to your calendar for periods when you're not accepting bookings

  • Reschedule bookings

  • Integrate your SumUp Bookings calendars with your Google Calendars to automatically sync appointments, keeping them up to date and easily accessible across both platforms

All upcoming bookings can be viewed from your SumUp Bookings overview page.

Set up your booking requests settings

Incoming booking requests can be approved automatically or manually, according to your preferences.

  1. On the SumUp app, scroll down and tap “SumUp Bookings”.

  2. Tap the three bars in the top left-hand corner.

  3. Click "Settings" then hit "Bookings".

  4. Choose between:

    • Accept automatically - all requests will be immediately approved on your calendar and confirmed to your customers according to the notification method you've chosen

    • Accept manually – you'll be notified of each appointment request, which will remain pending until you confirm or decline it. Customers will only be informed about their booking status after you manually update it

  5. Once configured, you can select your preferred payment method for customers to use when booking an appointment on your calendar.

Multiple SumUp Bookings calendars available

Create multiple SumUp Bookings calendars to give your employees access to specific ones, allowing them to manage their schedules, appointments, and preferences.

View your calendar

  1. On the SumUp app, scroll down and tap “SumUp Bookings”.

  2. Tap the three bars in the top left-hand corner.

  3. Click "Calendar" to view all your appointments.

You can also filter your calendar by tapping the settings button next to the date picker. This allows you to display or hide accepted appointments, cancelled appointments, no-show appointments, and time blocks.

Sync your SumUp Bookings with external calendars

You can sync your SumUp Bookings with external calendars either by exporting appointments or by directly connecting your calendars to Google Calendar.

Cancel appointments and no-shows

  1. On the SumUp app, scroll down and tap “SumUp Bookings”.

  2. Click “View all” under the "Upcoming appointments" section.

  3. Select the desired appointment.

  4. At the bottom of the screen, tap the three dots to:

    • Cancel the booking by clicking “Cancel”

    • Mark it as a no-show by choosing “Mark as no-show”

Add time blocks

  1. On the SumUp app, scroll down and tap “SumUp Bookings”.

  2. Hit the plus icon in the top right-hand corner and click "Time block".

  3. Enter a title along with the end and start dates and hours. You can also toggle the "All day" button to create a full-day time block or set it to repeat automatically according to your preferences.

  4. Click "Save" to finish.

Edit your SumUp Bookings settings

Choose how your customers are notified of booking status updates, which payment option they can use when booking an appointment, and more by editing your SumUp Bookings settings.
