How does moving orders to tables work?

To move an order from one table to another, or assign an order to a table, you must be a POS Plus user with the floor plan management feature enabled. 

This feature can be managed directly from your POS Lite, SumUp Terminal, or from the SumUp app on a tablet, available on both iOS and Android.

How to move orders to an available table?

To move an order to a table, you can do so from the following sections of your device:

  1. On your device, open the “Order menu”. 

  2. Tap the three dots in the top-right corner of the screen and click “Move”. 

  3. Choose the table you want to move the order to and tap “Confirm move”. 

  4. Return to the checkout screen for the transferred order.

Can I assign an order to an occupied table?

An order can only be transferred to a free table, where there is no order in progress. Tables that are already occupied cannot be selected.
